XPO annonce la nomination de Baris Oran au poste de Chief Financial Officer de GXO Logistics dans le cadre du projet de scission

XPO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: XPO) a annoncé aujourd’hui que Baris Oran deviendra le chief financial officer pour GXO Logistics, Inc.le projet de scission  du segment logistique de XPO. Baris Oran rejoindra XPO en tant que chief financial officer pour l’activité logistique en mai 2021. Lorsque la scission prévue sera finalisée, il prendra la direction de l'organisation financière mondiale de GXO.

Au cours de ses 20 ans de carrière dans la finance, Baris Oran a exercé des fonctions de direction au sein de multinationales leaders de leur marché. Il a récemment occupé le poste de chief financial officer du groupe Sabanci, l'une des plus grandes sociétés turques cotées en bourse, avec des filiales dans les secteurs de l'industrie, du retail et des services financiers et plus de 15 milliards de dollars de chiffre d'affaires cumulé. En tant que directeur financier, il a conduit de nombreuses opérations d'introduction en bourse, de fusion-acquisition et de cession, amélioré l'allocation du capital et mené des initiatives de désendettement et de gestion des risques.

Auparavant, Baris Oran a notamment été directeur financier de Sabanci et chief financial officer de Kordsa, un leader mondial des technologies de renforcement industriel. Il a été président, vice-président ou membre du conseil d'administration de huit sociétés cotées et de quatre sociétés privées, notamment président du conseil d'administration de Teknosa, un distributeur omnicanal du groupe Sabanci. Baris Oran est titulaire d'un master en business administration de l'université de Géorgie et d'un diplôme en advanced management de la Kellogg School of Management de la Northwestern University. Il est membre du conseil d'administration de TUSIAD, une filiale de la Confederation of European Business (BusinessEurope), et membre du CNBC Global CFO Council.

Comme annoncé précédemment, XPO prévoit d'achever la scission de ses activités logistiques en tant que société indépendante et cotée en bourse au cours du second semestre 2021. En tant que deuxième plus grand fournisseur de logistique contractuelle au monde, GXO sera bien positionnée pour tirer parti des courants favorables dominant le secteur de la logistique tels que l’essor du e-commerce, la demande croissante des clients en matière d'automatisation, et une tendance grandissante vers l'externalisation des opérations de supply chain. Les opérations logistiques comptent actuellement environ 890 sites dans 27 pays.
